Hi, my name is Amanda. I am a business professional with more than 20 years experience in areas such as :
Administration – Account Management – Sales – Operations – HR – Systems Analysis – Process creation
Upon completing year 12 I worked for a number of IT Solutions providers providing a range of skills covering purchasing, quoting on network installations, Consultative Selling and eventually Account Management. I won some major clients such as Saatchi and Saatchi due to client recommendations. From there I moved to the UK and secured a role with an Internet Start up, enjoying the position of Account Manager in a rapidly expanding company. Here I was instrumental in setting up the Account Management Team, winning a number of sales campaigns and being recognised for Account Management excellence. After 4 years in the UK I settled in New Zealand where I joined the Finance Industry and with this company moved across to Sydney, where I worked for a short time before moving up to Brisbane and starting a family.
After 7 years of being a full time mum, I joined a small but rapidly growing company called Power Choice Energy where I moved into the position of Chief Operating Officer. With a passion for acreage living and raising two boys, I decided I required a flexible role where I could work my own hours.
I established Samford Temps as a way to maintain a work life balance. Its been a great journey and I have been fortunate enough to support and work with some wonderful clients. I have since completed a Diploma of HR as I am passionate about people management. People are the most important resource in any company, and if we don’t look after them, business will suffer.
As a consultant and contractor my work has assisted clients in areas such as recruitment, job design, workplace counselling, industrial relations and Fair Work advice, team leadership, training needs analysis, liaising with clients, as well as general administration duties (to name but a few).
